We build websites and browser games worth using Harilight is a small studio that does two things properly: quick, well-made websites and browser games people actually finish. The same people handle your project from the first sketch to launch day, so nothing gets lost in a handover.

Harilight by the numbers

How it started →

The person behind it

Ten years, nineteen countries, one checklist

I’m Nour Hariz. I spent seven years freelancing before Harilight existed, which was long enough to learn that clients are rarely unhappy about the code. They are unhappy about not knowing: what it will cost, when it lands, whether anyone is still working on it. So the studio is built around removing that feeling. A fixed price against a written scope, a staging link you can open whenever you like, and the same person from the first call to the handover.

Our Services

Sites, web apps and browser games — designed, built and put live. They work on an old phone, they work with a keyboard, and they load before anyone loses interest.

Web Design & UX/UI

We sketch, prototype and test before anyone writes production CSS. You get to click through the real thing on your own phone early on, not at the end when changes get expensive.

  • UX audits, wireframes and clickable prototypes
  • A design system, so page ten still looks like page one
  • Contrast, focus states and layouts that hold up on any screen

Full-Stack Web Development

React, Vue or Angular on the front, Node and Express behind it. We pick whatever your team can still maintain after we've gone, not whatever happens to be popular this quarter.

  • React, Vue or Angular front ends
  • Node.js and Express APIs, REST or GraphQL
  • Speed, security and technical SEO sorted during the build

HTML5 Game Development

Games that run in a browser tab: campaign activations, training, events. Built in PixiJS or Phaser and tuned to start fast on a mid-range phone with a bad signal, because that's what most people will play it on.

  • PixiJS or Phaser 3 on HTML5 Canvas
  • Playable ads, microsite games, gamified training
  • Touch controls first, and a quick first load
  • One embed snippet for your landing page or CMS

Cloud & Deployment

Hosting, deploys, backups and alerts. If something breaks at 2am, we'd rather the rollback ran on its own and you heard about it from us in the morning.

  • CDN, TLS, caching and image optimization
  • Automated deploys, with a staging site to check first
  • Uptime alerts, analytics and error tracking

FAQ

The things people ask us before signing anything.

A simple landing page is usually 1–2 weeks. A full branded site is more like 2–4 weeks, though that depends a lot on how quickly the content and brand assets reach us. Mini-games run from a few days to about 2 weeks, depending on the mechanics and how much art is involved. We work in 1–2 week sprints, so there's something to look at every week rather than one big reveal at the end.

You get a written update once a week and a staging link you can click through whenever you like — no waiting for a scheduled demo. Everything sits on a shared task list, and you deal with one person throughout rather than being passed around.

Yes. We'd rather quote a fixed price against a written scope than bill you by the hour and leave you guessing. Payment is usually 50/50, half to start and half on delivery, or split across milestones (40/40/20). Nothing gets invoiced that you haven't already seen priced and agreed.

A 15–20 minute call to hear what you're after, plus whatever of this you already have:
  • Brand: your logo (SVG or PNG) and colors (e.g. #150D44, #71C2C6, #7A9ED0).
  • Content: headlines, copy, product details. For a game: how it plays, how you win or lose, the controls, and which devices it needs to run on.
  • Access: domain or hosting logins, if we're doing the deploy.
  • Limits: your deadline, rough budget, and anything the tech has to fit around.
Missing some of it is fine — that's often part of the job. After the call we send back the scope, the timeline and a fixed price for you to approve.

Yes, and during the build rather than as a clean-up job afterwards. We compress images, keep the CSS and JavaScript small, and honor prefers-reduced-motion so the animations switch off for anyone who gets motion sick. Before launch we check color contrast, keyboard focus order, and the SEO basics. Analytics too, if you want it.

You do, all of it. You get the repository, the source files and notes on how to deploy it, so another developer could pick it up tomorrow without calling us. For 14 days after launch we fix anything that turns up, free. After that there's a care plan if you'd like us to keep an eye on things, but you're not tied to it.
